Should one fighter be close to defeat, you can quickly switch out on the fly and earn back a limited amount of health while you continue the fight. Along with some of the devastating dual-attack combos, you can now duel throw, not to mention you'll have to juggle two independent health bars.

If you're familiar with the series then you probably know all of your favourite characters moves, but if you don't I would highly recommend doing your research, because it can be a steep, and costly, learning experience at the arcade otherwise!Īs far as the combat goes, giving players a second fighter instantly adds some real tactics to the fight. While a console version is coming later in the year packed with some extra fighting modes, this current arcade version is all about 2 v 2, every match has you facing off against another duo of duellists. There's no massive overhaul of the fighting system but newcomers and veterans alike will probably appreciate this and grasp the controls pretty quickly. The first thing to note is that it plays almost identically to the first Tekken Tag which is strange considering the huge gap in time since the original was released.
